NoteAdapt · Educational software
Sheet music adapted for every learner.
NoteAdapt helps music educators adapt the music they already teach from. Upload a page and get it back color-coded and labeled for your students: letter names, solfège, rhythm syllables and real instrument fingerings.

Twelve pitch colors: a note keeps its color everywhere it appears.
What it does
An adapter, not another notation editor
You already have the music. NoteAdapt takes the sheet you are actually teaching from and makes the version this student can play, without you re-entering a single note.
Color that carries meaning
Every pitch gets its own color. With an instrument set, the color shows the string, valve or fret instead. Turn it off with one checkbox when a student is ready to read without it.
Labels in the language you teach
Letter names, solfège or scale degrees, with rhythm syllables underneath in Kodály, counting or Gordon.
Real fingerings, not just note names
27 instruments, with valve numbers or diagrams, woodwind fingering charts, trombone positions and guitar tab.
One sheet, several versions
A class set makes the differentiated copies together, as one PDF or a zip. Copies are labeled by their settings, never by a student's name.
How it works
Three steps, one prep period
Upload the page
A PDF, or a photo taken on your phone. Long books go in batches, with a picker so you choose which pages.
Check what it flagged
Anything NoteAdapt was unsure about comes back flagged, so you look at a few notes rather than proofreading the whole page.
Print it, or download the PDF
Paper for the stand, or a file for the board.
Three modes
Adapt what exists, or make what doesn't
Overlay
Keeps your original page exactly as it is and adds color and labels over it. The mode for real sheet music.
Skills
Scales and arpeggios built to order: pick the note, the scale, the clef and the octaves. Nothing to upload.
Creative
Blank staff paper you fill in, in fourteen kinds, from ordinary clefs to rhythm-only and tab.
Instruments
Twenty-seven instruments, fingerings drawn out
Set an instrument and the notes stop being colored by pitch and start being colored by how they are played: the string, the valve combination, the slide position, the fret.

Privacy
Built to hold no student data
- The music you upload is read, adapted and discarded, so print or download anything you want to keep.
- No field asks for a student's name.
- Students have no accounts: you adapt the music and hand out paper.
