About KaoTechnologies
A creative technology company, one useful product at a time.
KaoTechnologies LLC brings together creative services, software development, educational technology and interactive entertainment under one roof.
What we do
Three businesses, one company
KaoTechnologies is the parent company. Each business has its own website, its own customers and its own privacy practices, and we keep them separate on purpose.
Educational software
NoteAdapt
Helping music educators adapt sheet music to support every learner: upload a page and get it back color-coded and labeled for your students.
Games & interactive entertainment
IT Defense
An IT-themed tower defense game where your network is under attack and your department is the last line of defense.
Coming soon to Android, then iPhone and iPad
Principles
How we work
Make useful things
We like technology that solves a real problem for a real person: a clear website, a readable page of music, a game that respects your time.
Combine skills
Design, engineering, teaching and play do not live in separate boxes here. The same habits of careful building show up in a website, a classroom tool and a game.
Be straightforward
We say what exists, mark what is coming, and avoid claims we cannot back up.
Respect people's data
The game collects nothing, and NoteAdapt is designed so that it never needs a student's name.
